Renewing Rights in Times of Transition:
70 Years of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
On 7 and 8 September 2018, the Edinburgh Global Justice Academy is hosting the annual AHRI conference in Edinburgh. Additional, complementary events take place on 6 September.
The Association of Human Rights Institutes (AHRI), is a network of 62 member institutions that carries out research and educational activities in the field of human rights. The member institutions are from 33 different countries. AHRI’s objective is to bring together human rights researchers from across the disciplines, to facilitate the exchange of ideas and collaboration, and to promote research, education and discussion in the field of human rights. AHRI is supportive of PhD researchers and the facilitation of exchange between the different member institutions.
A conference fee is applicable for each registered participant and is due upon registration. Delegates may choose to register as a CPD participant as it is possible to gain up to 12 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for conference attendance. This fee includes your participation in the AHRI conference and daily conference meals. Please use these pages to find out more. #AHRI2018
On 6 September, the complementary Works in Progress sessions will take place from 13.00 – 17.00 and the launch of the Peace Agreements, Inclusion and Human Rights. Launch of the PA-X Database by the Global Justice Academy will take place immediately before the opening reception. All those registered for AHRI are invited to attend. See link for further details.
